What Ui Delícia is

Ui Delícia is a portal of traditional recipes organised by place: continent, country and, within each country, the kind of dish. The idea is simple — instead of one more list of loose recipes, a place where you choose where you feel like eating from today and find the dish together with its story, the recipe card with time and yield, the ingredients split by part, and the method step by step.

We publish one new recipe a day, and it always comes from a country that still has little here. That is deliberate: without it, the site would only grow in the kitchens everybody already knows, and the map would end up full on one side and empty on the other. This way it fills in little by little, country by country.

The site is written in Portuguese and also published in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. A recipe that has not been translated yet simply does not appear in the language it does not exist in — we would rather it be missing than hand you a page in another language.

Who writes it

The person answering for Ui Delícia is Leonardo Polo. Every text published here carries that name under the title, and the contact address below reaches him directly. There is no anonymous author on this site: if something is written here, someone signs it.

How each text is made

Research and writing are supported by artificial intelligence, and the final decision is always a person's: what goes in, what stays out, what needs correcting. We prefer to say so openly rather than let you find out on your own — a tool is a tool, and responsibility for what is published still belongs to whoever signs it.

The photos illustrating the texts are computer-generated images, made to give an idea of the result. They are not photographs of the actual cooking and should not be used as an exact reference for appearance, colour or portion.
